Dollar-cost Averaging Calculator - Stock Version

Many buy-and-hold investors purchase shares of a stock at different times and prices as they accumulate shares to hold for many years. This form of recurring investment is called dollar-cost averaging because you average the costs of different purchases over time.

The Dollar-cost Averaging calculator lets you backtest recurring investments at specified monthly intervals for any stock listed on a major U.S. stock exchange and supported by Quandl. You may also enter a one-time initial investment amount that occurs on the start date.

Simply enter any stock quote symbol, complete the rest of the form and click on the Calculate Returns button. In a few seconds the results will be displayed on a new page.
