Bollinger Bands Chart Maker

Use the Bollinger Bands Chart Maker to display a chart of Bollinger bands for any stock, exchange-traded fund (ETF) and mutual fund listed on a major U.S. stock exchange and supported by Alpha Vantage. Some stocks traded on non-U.S. exchanges are also supported. Indexes are not supported.

Input Variables Comments

Prices are adjusted for dividends and splits.

Time Interval between two consecutive prices. The following values are supported:  daily, weekly and monthly.

Number of Prices to Calculate Bollinger Bands. Positive integers are accepted. Default is 20.

Standard Deviation Multiplier - Upper Band. Positive integers are accepted. Default is 2.

Standard Deviation Multiplier - Lower Band. Positive integers are accepted. Default is 2.

Moving Average Type. Integers 0 - 8 are accepted with the following values. 0 = Simple Moving Average (SMA), 1 = Exponential Moving Average (EMA), 2 = Weighted Moving Average (WMA), 3 = Double Exponential Moving Average (DEMA), 4 = Triple Exponential Moving Average (TEMA), 5 = Triangular Moving Average (TRIMA), 6 = T3 Moving Average, 7 = Kaufman Adaptive Moving Average (KAMA), 8 = MESA Adaptive Moving Average (MAMA). Default is 0.

Number Dates Displayed on Chart. Includes current date.

Bollinger Bands Chart

Upper and lower Bollinger bands are blue.

Moving average is black.

Adjusted closing prices are gray.
