Percent Return
The percent return is a measure of the performance of an investment. You compute the percent return using the first and last prices for a selected time period.
Percent return = ((Last price - first price) / first price) * 100.
If the first price is $100 and the last price is $150, the percent return is:
(($150 - $100) / $100) * 100 = 50%
Note: buyupside.com calculators use closing prices adjusted for splits and dividends useless otherwise noted. Therefore, the percent returns produced by these
calculators are total returns.
