Annual Stock Return Calculator

Use the Annual Stock Return Calculator to compute the annual percent return, annual percent profitable returns for all buy and sell combinations and annualized return for any stock, index, exchange-traded fund or mutual fund that is listed at Yahoo! Finance. The calculator does not include fees, commissions, taxes and capital gains distributions in its return computations.

You can select daily, weekly or monthly closing prices to be used in the computations. For durations greater than 10 years, use weekly or monthly closes because computations using daily closes may be slow.

Simply enter any symbol recognized by Yahoo! Finance and select the price series and date information. Then click on the Calculate Returns button and your results will be displayed on a new page.
