Own Chinese Stocks With Six Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs)

The following exchange-traded funds enable you to own diversified portfolios of Chinese stocks. These ETFs are quite volatile so study their price charts before buying any of them.

(HAO)
Tracks the AlphaShares China Small Cap Index, which includes Chinese small capitalization companies (market capitalization between USD $200 Million and USD $1.5 billion). All holdings - 120 stocks.
iShares FTSE/Xinhua China 25 Index Fund
(FXI)
Tracks the FTSE/Xinhua China 25 Index, which includes the largest and most liquid Chinese companies. All holdings - 28 stocks.
iShares MSCI Hong Kong Index Fund
(EWH)
Tracks the MSCI Hong Kong Index (^HSI), which includes stocks traded on the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx). - All holdings - 54 stocks.
PowerShares Golden Dragon Halter USX China Portfolio
(PGJ)
Tracks the Halter USX China Index, which includes U.S. listed stocks that derive most of their revenue from the mainland China. All holdings - 95 stocks.
SPDR S&P China ETF
(GXC)
Tracks the S&P Citigroup BMI China Index, which includes companies located in China. All Holdings - 125 stocks).
