Looking For a Few Good Banks - UMB Financial Corporation Is On the Price Upside

Finding banks stocks that are not in the tank is difficult these days, but UMB Financial Corporation (UMBF) is an exception. This multi-bank holding company, which operates 135 banking centers in Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Oklahoma, is on the price upside having made an all-time closing high at $58.96 on August 11, 2008.

UMBF pays a $0.66 annual dividend with a modest one percent dividend yield, but the bank has a record of increasing its dividend each year.

UMBF is a candidate for a long-term dividend reinvestment portfolio.

I (RAH) do not own UMBF.
