Banco
Santander (STD),
Spain's largest bank, has not suffered from the subprime and credit
crisis afflicting most banks. Santander on July 28, 2008 closed
at $18.61, down from its closing all-time high of $22.24 set on
May 14, 2008. (price
chart).
STD continues to pay steady dividends that have an increasing trend,
making STD a candidate for a dividend-oriented portfolio.

I (RAH) do not own STD.
