PowerShares High Yield Equity Dividend Achievers Portfolio's Dividend Yield Exceeds Five Percent

The PowerShares High Yield Equity Dividend Achievers Portfolio (PEY) tracks the Mergent Dividend Achievers 50 Index, which includes the fifty highest yielding stocks of the Mergent Dividend Achievers. As of August 15, 2008, the dividend yield of this exchange-traded fund (ETF) is 5.49 percent.

Currently, the top three sectors of PEY are financials, utilities and consumer discretionary. The top five holdings are American Capital (ACAS), KeyCorp (KEY), Comerica (CMA), Bank of America (BAC) and TCF Financial Corp (TCB).

The fund's expense ratio is 0.59 percent.

PEY a candidate for a buy-and-hold dividend reinvestment program.
