Home Bancshares Pays a Steady Dividend

While most banks are on the price downside, Home Bancshares (HOMB) is on the upside. This Conway, Arkansas bank-holding company owns six community banks (five in Arkansas and one in Florida). HOMB reported excellent Q2 2008 earnings in July and the stock reacted accordingly.

HOMB increased its quarterly cash dividend to $0.06 (1% dividend yield), payable September 12, 2008 to shareholders of record August 29, 2008. The company has a record on increasing its dividend.
