Large Utility Exelon Qualifies As a Great Dividend-Reinvestment Stock
Exelon (EXC),
an electric and gas utility serving Mid-Atlantic (PECO) and Midwest (ComEd)
customers, is on a multi-year price upside. With $15 billion in annual
revenues, a market cap over $55 billion and a customer base of 5.2 million,
EXC is one of the largest utilities in the U.S.
Currently, EXC pays a $1.76 annual dividend for a 2.10 percent yield.
The company has room to increase its dividend with earnings of just over
four dollars. And EXC is in the midst of a share buyback program.
EXC is an excellent candidate for a long-term dividend-reinvestment portfolio.
