Clorox Pays Increasing Dividends

Clorox (CLX), a consumer products company best known for its cleaning products, has increased its quarterly cash dividend from $0.46 to $0.50, an 8.7 percent increase. The dividend is payable on August 14, 2009 to shareholders of record as of July 27, 2009.

Its current dividend yield is 3.40 percent. CLX has a long history of raising its dividend.

CLX is an excellent candidate for a long-term dividend reinvestment portfolio.

I (RAH) do not own CLX.
