Arrow Financial Pays Increasing Dividends

Arrow Financial Corporation (AROW), a regional bank serving Northeastern New York, on January, 2009, reported record earnings and declared a quarterly cash dividend of $.25 per share. AROW has a multiyear history of raising its dividends. Its current dividend yield is 3.90 percent.

AROW has never offered subprime mortgage loans, nor do they hold mortgage-backed securities backed by subprime mortgages in their investment portfolio. Consequently, their earnings and balance sheet have not been adversely affected by the ongoing banking crisis. And their stock price (price chart) has held up relatively well.

AROW is a candidate for an dividend-income or dividend-reinvestment portfolio.
