10-Year Treasury Note Yield Moves Past 5 Percent

On June 7, 2007 the yield on the 10-year Treasury note moved above 5 percent and stock prices fell. Bond yields have been volatile in the past few years but have exhibited a gradual upside trend.

If bond yields continue to climb, stock prices would be adversely affected.
