Vanguard Emerging Markets ETF Is a Play on Global Economic Expansion

Vanguard Emerging Markets ETF (VWO), a very low fee exchange-traded fund, has major holdings in South Korea, Brazil and Hong Kong. VWO tracks the same stocks as iShares MSCI Emerging Markets (EEM), but VWO has a much lower annual expense ratio.

Since March 2005, VWO has doubled in price reflecting the multi-year upside of most of its holdings. VWO pays a dividend with over a one percent yield, so this ETF could be part of your long-term dividend reinvestment portfolio.

If you believe that the worldwide economic expansion will be long lasting, consider VWO as a core holding in your portfolio.
