Pfizer Raises Dividend to Increase Shareholder Value

Pfizer (PFE), a large pharmaceutical company, raised its quarterly divided 26% to $0.24. At the current stock price of $22.31 the yield on the annual dividend of $0.98 is 4.39%. Pfizer's management and shareholders are hoping the higher dividend will help support PFE's stock price, which has declined 48.68% from its 2000 peak.

Avoid PFE until the stock turns to the price upside.
