The stock price of Countrywide Financial (CFC),
a large mortgage lender, has been cut in half in recent months and
it could be headed lower. A combination of fewer mortgage and refinancing
applications plus an increase of loan defaults has caused revenues
and earnings to slide at CFC.
Avoid this stock.
