AmSouth Bank is a Dividend Play

AmSouth Bancorp (ASO) is a holding company for AmSouth Bank, a regional bank in the Southeast. Since October 2000 ASO has tripled in price.

ASO has a multi-year history of increasing its dividend. Currently it pays a 3.70 percent dividend. ASO is a candidate for a dividend reinvestment portfolio.
