U.S. Treasury Money Market Funds Are Safe

When you want to park cash, consider putting it into a U.S. Treasury money market fund. Like other types of money market accounts, a treasury-backed account is not insured, but because it holds short-term U.S. treasury bills and notes, you can be assured that your money is safe.

Here is a sample of the many U.S. Treasury money market funds which are available to savers and investors.
